Welcome

Grace Fisher DeuPree, Governor General

Welcome to the official website for the National  Society Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims, a  non-profit hereditary society dedicated to  perpetuating the memory and fostering and  promoting the principles and virtues of the  "Pilgrims" (see the "Pilgrims" page of this site).

The Society was founded on December 21, 1908  and has been in continuous existence since  then.  Its motto is "Land of our Fathers!  Ours  to Preserve.  Ours to Transmit.  Liberty in  Union; Now and Forever."   For more on this  topic, see our "History" page.  The Society is  very proud of its close to one hundred years of  working to spread the word about the incredible  individuals who came to this New World prior to  the year 1700  and  who  built the  foundation  upon which rests our great country.  Amazingly,

new discoveries about the Pilgrims continue to be made even now in the 21st Century!  Through this website and its various educational projects, the Society plans to continue its vigorous efforts to spread the word about these amazing Americans.

The Society's Active Support of Education About the Pilgrims:

The Society is a nonprofit corporation approved for tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The objects of the Society are primarily educational in nature.  With 30 current branches and over 1400 members, the Society actively supports its educational purpose by means of national projects (see our "Projects" page), publications (see our "Books and Insignia" page), and the local participation of its members through meetings and projects of its numerous, virtually nationwide branches (see our "State Branches" page).

Join Us!

We appreciate your interest in the National Society Sons and Daughters of the Pilgrims. As explained in more detail in our "Membership" page on this site, a male or female over the age of 18 is eligible to join our Society, without regard to religion or place of origin, if he or she is a direct descendent of a "Pilgrim". That term denotes any immigrant who settled before 1700 within the territory which later became the forty-eight contiguous states of the United States of America.

Literally millions of people qualify for membership in our Society so we actively encourage you to inquire if you are interested in joining our Society. We are interested in having new members in order to give us greater energies and resources to fulfill our goal of education about the important and fascinating history of the Pilgrims. Please feel free to contact me for more information at Grace520@msn.com.  Whether or not you join the Society, we hope very much that you enjoy your time visiting our website.

In Pilgrim Spirit,

Grace Fisher DeuPree (Mrs. C. Lamar)
